The cooler fall weather has arrived in the Yokosuka City and Miura Peninsula areas.  It follows a record-setting hot summer, so it is welcome relief.  One characteristic of the autumn season is that the humidity drops significantly, which helps to quickly dry the laundry which many Japanese hang on poles out on their balconies.  Also, by this time, a large number of articles have accumulated on our webpage "Staff Blog" (here's the link):

Our Staff Blog was started in January 2022, and it contains many brief write-ups about Japanese houses, shopping, eating, culture, and local history, etc., and we hope it will assist you in learning about life in Yokosuka.  A couple of early articles (linked below) looked at some special characteristics of Japanese dwellings, where a house is also a home, and the entryway "genkan" space is a where you transition from the outside world to the inside/personal world.  Our company manages a large number and variety of houses and condos/apartments for rent.  Some are located in scenic, green suburb areas which are located up on bluffs and hilly areas and require a car for transportation.  Other units are closer to the U.S. Navy Base (CFAY) in flat & heavily populated/urban eastern Yokosuka and have better access to public transportation.  Most of them share similar characteristics such as: "LDK" (living-dining-kitchen) areas, a separated small toilet room, narrow balconies for hanging laundry, no large cooking oven, etc.  The quality of construction and furnishings has really improved over the years, and we are sure there is a place which will meet your particular needs.  Please feel free to contact us!
