New construction project -- Western-style house on high ground🏰 (Part 3)

New construction project -- Western-style house on high ground  (Part 3)

A new house for future rental to U.S. military-related customers, that was under construction in Shonan Takatori, has been completed.  The property is located approximately sixteen minutes by car from Yokosuka Navy Base (CFAY) and a twenty five-minute walk from Oppama train station.

Shonan Takatori is a suburban area in Yokosuka City, developed and subdivided by Seibu real estate company on the ridges and valleys around Mount Takatori.  The residential area is located on higher ground and is characterized by a quiet living environment surrounded by greenery and nature.  It is also popular neighborhood for U.S. military-related renters.  Within this residential area, there is a hiking course on Mt. Takatori and several parks for both adults and children to enjoy.

In this case, the new house was to be built on a lot with a difference in elevation, so we started with the installation of a retaining wall and then moved forward with construction of the house.  (You can read about the retaining wall construction in our first article, "Western-style house on high ground🏰 new construction project #1", which is archived on our webpage's Staff Blog.)

A splendid new house has been completed!  It has a parking area for two vehicles.  With a width of more than six meters, it will be easy to park there, and comfortable to get in-and-out of your car.  From the parking area, there are stairs leading up to the garden.  It is also possible to load and unload without having to go around to the front door.  Additionally, the spacious garden is high enough so that you can relax there on holidays and other occasions as a private space, without worrying about being seen from the street in front of the house.

Upon entering the house, the design of wall at the far end of the hallway, visible from the "genkan" entryway, makes an impression.  Beyond that wall is the study.  Windows were installed in the wall so that the design pendant lights could be seen.  The study is about two square meters, so it is not large, but the door on the living room side is a sliding acrylic type, which allows light to enter.  The warm yellow accent wallpaper matches the color of the pendant lights.  In addition, the room can be used not only as a study, but also as a laundry-folding or ironing space, etc., depending on your needs, since it is located adjacent to the washroom.

The living and dining rooms are designed to be as wide as possible to accommodate large furniture, and the wall surfaces (windows, fixtures, etc.) are designed/positioned to facilitate furniture placement.  The color-scheme of the kitchen is simply white with black handles to harmonize with the fixtures and fittings.  It gives a clean and bright feeling to the entire room.  The kitchen is easy to clean and use.  The hanging cupboards and counter storage drawers are all lined up, so you can keep things organized without having to add/prepare new cupboards, etc.  Of course, the pantry is also spacious!

The countertop of this storage closet would look great with photos, pictures, or flowers, etc. 🌷

The hall on the second floor also makes effective use of the available space and has a petite closet.  It is convenient for storing small items.  Stylish bracket lights have also been installed on the walls.  The staircase and hallway are also wider than usual, so they do not feel cramped and give a sense of spaciousness.

Accent-style wallpapers and curtains for each room were also selected by the property owner.

After the owner originally purchased the land, discussions were held on the new house building plan, and then construction began -- and this project has been underway for about nine months. (Actual construction took about seven months.)  While we are relieved to have successfully completed the project, we are now moving on to advertising-for-rent and management -- without stopping.  We have already received many inquiries about moving in, etc., and are in the process of final preparations for accepting applications!  We hope that this article introducing the project will be helpful to owners of idle land and those who are considering purchasing real estate for investment, as one way to profitably utilize your land.

Our company has a wealth of information on land suitable for renting to U.S. military-related customer, and we offer building construction plans and financial plans to our clients based on their budgets and other factors.  We will assist you in stable real estate management by condensing our know-how to the maximum extent possible, in concert with house builders, construction companies, and other contractors with whom we have business experience according to your needs.  Please feel free to contact us.
