A "Lively" New Construction House in Shonan Takatori (Part 1)
The details about this project proposal...
For several years, the property owner's family had been consulting with us about the effective use of the land in the future. As time passed, we decided to rebuild the old house and then use the property for renting to U.S. military-related customers. This would be an effective use of the land that was actually inherited by the owner.
Located in the northernmost part of Yokosuka City, the Shonan Takatori suburb is only about a 15-minute drive from the U.S. Navy Base the base (although some people think it is further away). So, Shonan Takatori is a good quality residential area within a short commuting distance to the base. The beautiful suburb is full of greenery and has many parks, making it a popular area for families. It is so quiet that you can often hear birds singing. Keikyu bus service is available within the subdivision, and there is also a Seiyu supermarket for convenient shopping. And, what a surprise, our new construction property is located right in front of that Seiyu store!
Many U.S. military-related customers and their families reside in the area, and many enjoy hiking around Mount Takatoriyama. Shonan Takatori is also close to Yokohama City, Costco and Sea Paradise theme park.
I'd never seen so many people at a ground-breaking ceremony!
The owner's entire family attended the ground-breaking ceremony! A total of 15 people! I'm sorry I could not post a picture of it, but... While giving thanks for the old home they have put their hearts and souls into, everyone enjoyed a cheerful and joyful ground-breaking ceremony for a new start! Even the construction company was surprised, saying it was the highest number of ceremony participants they had ever seen.
The site is approximately 77 "tsubo" (254 square meters/2734 square feet) in size, so there is plenty of room for a garden. We are planning to complete the building by the end of this year, incorporating the owner's opinions as well as proposing a floor plan that will allow stable leasing to the U.S. military-related customers.
