How to use the air conditioner

Japan has a temperate humid climate, but in recent years, it has been said that due to global warming, the climate is becoming closer to subtropical (between temperate and tropical). From July to September, there are consecutive extremely hot days with temperatures exceeding 35°C, accompanied by high humidity, resulting in health issues such as heatstroke.

Regarding the use of air conditioners during the summer, there is a possibility of unexpected incidents occurring, so we would like to remind you to carefully use your air conditioner.

Recently, at a property managed by our company, a heat detector installed on the ceiling malfunctioned, causing the fire department to be dispatched. The cause was that the air conditioner’s wind was directly hitting the heat detector, leading to condensation inside the detector, which caused a malfunction in the electrical system, resulting in a false alarm.

To our tenants: If the airflow from your air conditioner is directed toward the heat detector, please adjust it to a different direction. Additionally, set the temperature of the air conditioner lower and avoid running it for 24 hours continuously. Please refrain from excessive use and make sure to follow the guidelines below.

●Do not operate the air conditioner for 24 hours continuously.

●Set the air conditioner to automatic mode with a temperature of 25°C or higher.

●Be sure to turn off the air conditioner when you are away for extended periods or when you leave the house.

●Keep shutters and windows slightly open and ventilate the room regularly
