Living in a Japanese apartment

Nowadays, in the Yokosuka City and Miura Peninsula areas, there are numerous modern and well-constructed apartments.  Many of them are units in high rise tower buildings.  If you take a look at our Facebook page, for example, you will see that there is a wide choice of apartment floorplans, with one, two, or three bedrooms -- along with open "LDK" areas, where the living room, dining room, and kitchen are co-located.  If you chose to live in a Japanese apartment, our company will help with explaining its basic features, such as how to operate the air conditioner, the washing machine, the toilet bidet, and various remote controls, etc.  Additionally, there are some other things to be aware of when living in a Japanese apartment complex.  Japanese clothes driers are smaller and less efficient than U.S. models, and the more common practice is to hang-dry clothing on poles which are located on the apartment's balcony.  Most apartment balconies are pretty narrow and just wide enough to hang-dry clothing -- but they are not intended for other uses such as smoke-emitting barbecues, telephone conversations, or doing exercises.  Another fact of life about many Japanese apartments is that sounds can be sensed or heard in neighboring units (especially next door or below).  So, loud music or conversation, dance parties, stomping footsteps, etc, will become an annoyance to residents in other nearby apartments, and noise complaints will be made.  Finally, each apartment complex will have a place and procedure for disposing household garbage, so you will need to be careful to follow those rules.  Having said this, the Japanese apartments our company lists are modern, clean, comfortable, and nice places to live -- and if you have any questions or issues, please feel free to contact us at any time!
