Our "Sparkling New" Hinode-Cho House Project (Part 2)

We consulted with a property owner who wanted to make more efficient use of a land-plot measuring 50 TSUBO "坪" (equivalent to 165 square meters or 1,780 square feet). As a result, it was decided to build a new rental house, designed for U.S. military customers. The shape of the land-plot is long and narrow, so numerous visits to the site were made in order to develop an ideal design. For example, various measurements of the building site were made by drawing chalk lines on the ground, and we moved-around a vehicle to determine the best placement of a parking spot. Based on this, the precise location and orientation of the house was decided, and we moved on to the next steps.
